EAP’s INTEGRATED STRUCTRUAL BODY WORK (ISBW) PROGRAM FOR ATHLETIC ENHANCEMENT
ISBW is an extremely effective soft-tissue methodology, which has been successfully utilized by Recreational athletes all the way to Elite athletes.
ISBW has been used to address chronic injuries & accelerate regeneration after training & competition (i.e. help with the removal of waste products from the muscle):
increase lymphatic drainage (i.e. decrease tissue congestion),
restore normal resting tone to the muscles and surrounding tissue, thereby decreasing sympathetic central nervous system firing.
“High Performance Athletics is more about how fast can an athlete regenerate after a bout of intense condition vs. what he/she actually does for conditioning. Therefore, before you plan your conditioning, plan how you plan to regenerate from the conditioning”
ISBW has been used to enhance performance in a very short period of time, sometimes in as little as one session!
ISBW allow the athlete to train longer with greater intensity, well before fatigue sets in.
“Most athletes hit their biomechanical limit (i.e. technical limit – the point where technical errors become more apparent, thus increasing inefficiency); well before they realize their physiological limit (i.e. the point where they run out energy). In the highly conditioned athlete, the opposite holds true (i.e. they reach their physiological limit well before they reach their biomechanical limit)”
ISBW can mitigate Injury Potential by getting muscles to fire in their appropriate sequences.
