Steps To Injury
Step 1: Poor Lifestyle Habits
- Poor sleep habits
- Poor nutrition & hydration habits
- Poor postural habits
- Poor work/sport ergonomics
Step 2: Altered Ideal Biomechanics (“The Hidden Cause of Self-Sustained Athletic Injuries”)
Most amateur athletic children, & even elite athletes, do not realize they have poor biomechanical control errors & improper conditioning & regeneration methodologies.
- Poor toe, foot & ankle control
- Pelvic imbalances
- Altered knee mechanics
- Poor spine stability
- Altered shoulder mechanics
- Excessive frequency of improper conditioning methods
- Improper regeneration
- Poor nutrition
Step 3: Period of No Symptomology
- Biochemical dysfunctions creep in to eventually irritate overused tissues (i.e. tendons, muscles & joint structures)
Step 4: Symptom Period
- Altered movement control errors
- Irritated tissue becomes inflamed
- Scar tissue formation
- Degenerative changes become more permanent
- Further altered movement control errors
Step 5: Tissue Failure
- Tissue that is being continually subjected to abnormal stressors, that exceeds the rate of regeneration and biomechanical control from poor biomechanics (i.e. excessive pronation, knee travels inwards, hip shifts anterior), can increase a chance for:
- Ankle sprains
- Muscles strains
- ACL rupture
